Streak of success continued

Another success in the Argentinean Touring Car Championship: Christian Ledesma added another podium finish to his streak of success. On the racetrack located at Obera, Chevrolet works team driver Ledesma finished third in the TC2000. In the ninth round of the season, held on the final weekend of August, Ledesma proved to be the best Chevrolet Astra driver.

With 9 of the 14 Argentinean Touring Car Championship rounds contested and 87 points on his tally, Christian Ledesma currently holds fourth position in the championship – just three points behind the third-placed driver. Taking a look at the course of the action underlines that Ledesma delivered in truly great style, at Obera: the Astra No 5 started the qualifying race from 16th grid position and finished eighth. And in the 26-lap feature race, the Astra driver gained another five positions.

“We did an outstanding job,” beamed Christian Ledesma. “At race halftime, our engineers told me via pit radio that our pace was just perfect. I tried my very best to also pass Juan Silva and pressurised him again and again. At the end of the day, however, I opted for doing without taking too many risks and settling for finishing third, instead. I’m satisfied with what we achieved at Obera and leave the circuit in a good mood.” On 21st September, at Terma de Río Hondo, the next TC2000 round will offer Ledesma another chance of shining.
