Once again, Germany is the most successful market for the Formula 3 campaign of Spiess. In the RECARO Formula 3 Cup, Bastian Kolmsee secures the title with Spiess Power. Drivers relying on Spiess engines impress by winning 16 of the 18 races and clinching even 17 pole positions.

2006
As scheduled, the RECARO Formula 3 Cup enters its final season. For four years, the renowned seat manufacturer based in Kirchheim/Teck has supported Germany's national Formula 3 sport, thus massively contributing to the groundwork. Just as Spiess Motorenbau GmbH did. In the fourth RECARO Formula 3 Cup season, the Spiess tuned two litre engines again prove to be the dominating power on the series' grid. China's Chinese Ho-Pin Tung secures the title with a Dallara F304 Opel-Spiess and advances to the GP2 Series.
