ATS Formula 3 Cup
ATS Formula 3 Cup 2008
The ATS Formula 3 Cup is on the way to entering its sixth season. The
successor of the International German Formula 3 Championship has prospered
outstandingly well and gained a solid position on the German motor-racing
calendar. All the five titles secured in the series to date were won with
Spiess-Tuning engines. Reigning ATS Formula 3 Cup Champion Carlo van Dam
is going to contest the 2008 season as works driver in the Japanese Formula
3 Championship. In 2008, the ATS Formula 3 Cup calendar features 9 events
and 18 races respectively. The season kick-off will be held on the last
weekend in April, as part of the Jim Clark Revival at Hockenheim. Once
again the appearance in the support programme of the Nürburgring 24-Hour
race may be regarded as season highlight. Here, the ATS Formula 3 Cup
again will be the only single-seater series racing at the 'Ring', during
the course of the event. The season finale is scheduled for the 12th October,
at Oschersleben.
