The rather succinct designation C50 is worlds away from the technical possibilities offered by this machine.
The latest accomplishment of Spiess Motorenbau GmbH is built for the future. The Hermle C50 guarantees highly dynamic, simultaneous five-axis processing in the highest quality. Several axes are processed at once and thus offer time-saving, flexible production possibilities.

The C50 can also handle large workpieces. up to 2,000 kilograms, with the highest precision. And it is seldom necessary to re-span the workpieces, since the machine's swivel range is laid out to be sufficiently great.
The C50 offers great advantages, especially for making prototypes and engines, because it offers ideal conditions for channel processing, for instance, where work can be done from many different sides and angles.

Yet more advantages are offered by the special cooling agent feed, which works at up to 80 bars of pressure. The better cooling effect achieved by the high pressure saves wear and tear on tools and reduces the adverse effect of heat on the material characteristics.

The air-conditioned, encapsulated interior of the Hermle C50 hat several positive effects. For one thing, it helps the environment, since it runs on a closed system that cannot allow liquids or dust to escape.
For another, it guarantees to keep the temperature as constant as possible, to lower the material shrinkage and facilitate keeping to prescribed tolerances.
